While politics arise often during my internship, I typically steer clear. The discussing that caught my attention this week however, was too much for me to bare. There was a women who sat across from me, and was skimming through photographs. They were black and whites from the protest during the signing of sb 1070. The images were startling and affective, speaking volumes of the tension that was there. I don't know how many people were there, but it was extremely moving.
Is everyone ready for the election next month? Do we know about the different propositions?
Stay Educated.
I agree. Sometimes politics does not make the best conversation. I say, if you want to converse in this arena, please be well informed. There is nothing more irritating than someone giving me their opinion of an issue they know nothing about.
ReplyDeleteI try to keep up with the news so I can help make informed decisions as election time.
I signed up for the mail in Ballot as soon as it was offered. I have found this helps me make better and more informed choices as I have the time to do the research and the comfort of my home to study it. I also believe that you must stay informed and current if you wish to discuss politics. We also must remember that rhetoric is the proper way to discuss politics.
